 Season's Greetings everyone!

Today I am sharing my cute spin on Kadoodle Bug Designs Christmas Ginger Cookies. If you are looking for a super quick assembly, this guy is the one for you.
By the way, have you seen the newest line to hit the KBD store? If not, you really should head on over there and scoop up the super cute Whimsical Inklings sets before the sale ends at the end of the year.

 Of course, where would I be if I didn't pair this super cute gingy with my Jaded Blossom dies and stamps.

The window is actually a shaker box in case you can't tell. To get the appearance of snow on my vellum I used Tim Holtz, "Falling Snow" embossing folder. The amazing thing about embossing the vellum is that it created the white snow backdrop without me having to add any inks to it. Score!

Hello Birthday Girl

                      Thanks for swinging by today. For today's card, I decided to try to create a more 3d style card with my Bazzill shimmer papers.

                      Inspiration for this card came from my craft sister over at Sugar Bean Creations. She makes some of the cutest cards and I encourage you to pay her a visit.

                      I found the mermaid splash pop up card, design ID #63237 in the Silhouette online store.

                    Several modifications were made to this card by removing the mermaid and all of her scenery that accompanies this card. That left me with the exterior and the interior of the shell. By using a flower roller and rolling it around the card, I was able to create a more curved effect to the card.
           
                  I enlarged KBD's Mermaid Lagoon mermaid and lengthened the loose seaweed to surround her. Accents to the seaweed was made using my absolutely need in my stash stickles.



                Using my much loved ink chalks, I  was able to shade in the little  stones littering the floor and actually just folded the seaweed over to make it stand up instead of gluing it down with the stone. The outcome is just fabulous!

Details to this little cuties face were made using my white gellyroll pen and my 0.05 LePen. As you can see, different colors of stickles were used on her starfish bra and hair barrettes.

The little tiny blue beads were found at my local craft store and added that finishing touch to my sea floor as well as creating the impression of bubbles floating amongst "Ariel" and her friends.

The tag and stamp (Hello, Hello) came from Jaded Blossom.

Just Chicken In

Thanks for stopping by. I saw this amazing chicken pen card by Karen Burniston  and just knew that it had to be recreated.  Unfortunately, I do not own the chicken wire die but thanks to Craft Edge I was able to find a free svg.
         
          Of course, I had to use KBD's adorable rooster. The cardstock used came from my local craft store and I used my chalk ink to give it a splash of brown. 

I was going for that distressed wood look. Didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped but I am still very pleased with the outcome.
             
              To finish this card off I added some fall colored flowers to the edge and some hay to poke out of the coop. The card is from one of my favorite blogs to follow, A star for Chiemi. I highly recommend you go visit her page. She makes some of the cutest creations.

              Of course my card would not be complete without using my favorite stamps and dies from Jaded Blossom.

Delightful & Frightful Frankie

This past weekend I decided to play around with Samantha Walker's castle bendy card that I found in the Silhouette online store design ID #53879.

I've had this file in my stash for awhile now and never quite knew what to do with it until KBD made the super cute Charmkin Cutie-Frankie file.

I used my eBrush to add a two tone texture to the main part of the castle and embossed using a Tim Holtz brick folder. The red roof as accented with crackle glaze to age the roof and the turrets were also shaded in using my eBrush.

For the lower castle wall, I had to do some tweaking by making two duplicates, releasing the compound path, taking away the bricks, editing the points in the second duplicate, so that it left me with the yellow doorway and viola! I love the finished look.

For Frankie, I resorted back to my inks and chalks to shade in all the edges.
Confession time, I used more than one file from KBD to make this card. If you look to the left of the fence, you will notice a little spider sitting on a web. This spider came from KBD's Bride of Frankie. The moon, stars and arched cat came from KBD's soon to be retired Halloween house scene.

For the stamp sentiment I used Jaded Blossom's, "Too Cute to Spook" as well as their Fall dies sign post and combined it with the Halloween dies.
As you can see, the super cute ghost came from the Halloween die as well. To get her super cute facial expression, I used my stamp set from Peachy Keen Stamps labeled Sweet on you.

                      
                                                              
For Frankie and the other individual pieces, I went back to using my chalks and inks to edge the fine details. To top off the finishing touch to my card creation I used mini flat back beads by Taylored Expressions.

Witch's Brew

Thanks for stopping by. Halloween has got to be one of my most favorite holidays. Who doesn't love all the free candy their kids bring home? LOL...for me, it all just goes straight to my thighs, but the candy tastes so delicious getting there.

To honor this awesome holiday I created this super cute Charmkin Potion Witch from Kadoodle Bug Designs. Would you believe the background scenery is also from Kadoodle Bug Designs? Hurry on over because they're having a super sale going on and the Halloween background and the cute little ghost are going into retirement and once they are gone, they are gone.

It's a little hard to see, but if you look closely, I pop dotted some of the cauldron bubbles and added glitter to them using my green stickles glitter.

Sentiment and die came from Jaded Blossom, one of my favorite places to shop for stamps and dies. The stamp is from their Halloween goodies and the die is from their mini tags 2 die. 

The card shape is from SVG Cuts and is called Cards for Mom. I just love the size this card imports in at. It leaves me able to add so many more details to my card.

For today's card I wanted to try a "Bendy card" that I found on the Silhouette Online Store made by Samantha Walker, design id #53893.Just a quick note, I had to lower the height of the hill and fence and move the slots a little further out to create less of a bend to the card.

I knew as soon as I saw the fence I wanted to pair it with the super cute Cutie Kadoodle horse from Kadoodle Bug Designs.com

The tree for this card came from my favorite tree die, Memory Box Grand Oak Tree and sprayed with adhesive glue, topped off with Flower Soft, Vintage Christmas.

Sentiment on the cloud came from Jaded Blossom's Udderly Adorable stamp.

Panda shadowbox

Ever since I saw the bamboo shadow box in the Silhouette store I just knew I needed to create something spectacular with it. 
Kadoodle Bug Designs, Cutie Kadoodle Panda,  gave me just the right idea.

I had to make to make the panda just slightly bigger so she could fit into the frame naturally and added the green bamboo to the bamboo shadow box.

Notice my cute little panda eyes? Again, for this panda I used another set of false eyelashes to get her eyes to stand out and am absolutely thrilled with the way they turned out. Highly encourage you to play with false eyelashes :-D

Stamp sentiment came from Scrappy Mom Stamps called Animal Antics and the cutout for the sentiment came from Jaded Blossom labeled Banner dies.
